Iran in Prophecy
The importance of Iran in
Prophecy has been
fascinating. The name “Persia,”
which was written all over the
pages of ancient history, was
changed to “Iran” in foreign
usage in March 1935. Therefore,
according to the thirty-eighth
chapter of Ezekiel, the Iranians
will join forces with Turkey,
the former southern Soviet
republics, and the former
Russian republic to attack
Israel in the last days.
At
www.theantichristidentity.com
we are offering one of the most
controversial reports to address
the relevance of this to the
coming one world government and
new world order.
This addition to the coalition
is no surprise today. Ever since
the revolution and overthrow of
the Shah in 1978, the nation of
Iran has been one of the world’s
greatest troublemakers.
The Iranians are Shiite Muslims,
and contain the most radical
branch of Islam in the world.
The hatred of Iran for Israel is
so obvious it requires no
comment. As recently as June
1992, Iran was asked by Lebanon
to rein in Hezbollah guerrillas
in southern Lebanon. The
Iranians responded by refusing
and saying that Iran would use
all of its power to back their
war on the Jewish state.
The importance of Iran in
prophecy was due to news
headlines in May 1992 with the
shocking news that they had
obtained at least two nuclear
warheads. Even more fascinating
is the source of these warheads.
The warheads came from
Kazakhstan, one of the former
Moslem republics of the Soviet
Union.
The weekly Arabic magazine Al-
Watan Al-Arabi reported in
December 1991 that Iran took
advantage of the crumbling of
the Soviet Union to buy
components for three nuclear
weapons for between $130-$ 150
million. The magazine also
reported that Iran has hired
fifty Soviet nuclear experts to
assemble them.
Iran is also engaged in a
massive build-up of conventional
weapons. An article entitled
“The Russia-Iran Connection” in
the May 30, 1992 edition of the
Jerusalem Post says:
What is known about Iran’s
conventional arming is almost as
worrisome. Tehran is spending,
according to Gates, at least $2
billion a year on arms. It is
modernizing its navy, air force,
and army. It has acquired
Russian submarines, and it has
sent submarine crews for
training in a Russian naval
base. In the hope of acquiring
state-of-the-art weapons at
bargain basement prices, Iran
has established close contacts
with the Moslem republics of the
former Soviet Union.
