Prophecyupdate
The release of the Global Watch
Weekly update is one of the best
prophecyupdate online
publications on the internet.
This new world order watchdog
publication covers some of the
most controversial areas of
bible prophecy and the end
times. You can access it here at
www.theantichristidentity.com
While some
suggest that those who focus on
prophecy become so heavenly
minded they are no earthly good,
the problem in our carnally
minded, materialistic, Laodicean
Church today is quite the
reverse. We have become so
earthly minded that we are in
serious danger of becoming no
heavenly good to our Father.
Historically,
Christians who are interested in
prophecy and the soon return of
Christ have been at the
forefront of the great movements
of evangelism, missions,
third-world relief efforts, and
the active fulfillment of Jesus’
command to “occupy till I come”
(Luke 1 19:13 KJV).
Our interest
in
prophecyupdate
must increase concern for our
sin-sick world and motivate us
to actively go and “make
disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, teaching them
to observe all things that I
have commanded you; and lo, I am
with you always, even to the end
of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).
John the
Elder, in the Revelation of
Jesus Christ, revealed the
centrality of prophecy to
Christians: “The testimony of
Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”
(Revelation 19:10). Jesus
Christ, as the Living Word, is
the supreme revealer of the7
Word to us just as He was to two
of His disciples that day on the
road to Emmaus when, “Beginning
at Moses and all the Prophets,
He expounded on them in all the
Scriptures the things concerning
Himself” (Luke 24:27). What a
joy it must have been to listen
to Jesus open the hidden
treasures of Scripture.
Facts about
life, death, resurrection and
the second coming of Jesus make
up the major focus of Bible
prophecy and
prophecyupdate.
Old Testament prophets declared
that the Messiah and the Kingdom
of God are the ultimate goals
toward which all history is
leading. If we want to
understand God’s ultimate
redemptive purpose for us we
must examine the Scriptures for
His progressive revelation of
the role of the Messiah.
While Jesus
Christ is the subject of
thousands of Old and New
Testament prophecies, He is also
the supreme Prophet who declares
God’s purpose in history.
Through Scripture He reveals the
place and role of the nations
and allows us to judge the
“times and seasons” of our
lives.
